Elsamere Conservation Center
Situated in Moi South Lake Road, this is the old home of popular painter and naturalist Joy Adamson. It has a museum and a guest house inside the center where travelers can enjoy sipping tea and eating delicious cheesecake. This is Kenya ‘s amazing first national park. Built in 1945, this park houses numerous exotic animals such as buffalo, zebra, baboons, black rhino and cheetah. The Animal Orphanage , the S heldrick Elephant Orphanage, and the Educational Center can be found inside the park. Sick and wounded animals are kept at the Animal Orphanage while the Infant rhinos and baby elephants are housed in the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
